Cables Database
The Cables Database is designed to fully support virtually any cable type group inclusive of fiber optic cables.


From each cable group type there can be multiple rated voltages, multiple conductor quantities, multiple conductor sizes, multiple insulation and jacket types, multiple conductor materials, multiple included ground indicators. For fiber optic cables there can be multiple tube and fiber counts within each cable group.

Utilization of the database from Volts' many modules is through the Cable Type Selection screen. From this screen any cable can be selected dependant on the cable's rated voltage, conductor size and material, insulation and jacket types, rated maximum temperature in ºC and maximum tube and fiber count for type FO (fiber optic) cables.

We have supplied a general cable database with Volts with over 1,450 characterized cables. Dependant on your requirements you may or may not need to add additional cables. Volts' Cables Database can accept virtually an unlimited amount of cables.

The Cables Database is additionally supported by Volts' Cables' Compound Reference Database which shows the polymer or rubber compound used in the cable's insulation and jacket.


It simply cannot be any easier or more accurate to obtain the correct information the first time.
