  The Transformer Sizing Module features the ability to correctly size the required transformer with an infinite number of devices in the transformer's circuit. With the same interface as the main Circuit Load Analysis module, the required transformer is sized along with the primary (supply) and secondary (load) amperes are computations.
   
 

   
 

With Volts, only nameplate values are required to fully characterize any device and correctly size an AC or DC transformer. Additionally, all entered devices can be edited or deleted and new devices added at any time.

Transformer sizing is adjusted by the device characterization, motor startup cycles, motor service factor, ambient temperature and installation altitude. An additional safety margin factor can also be included to proportionally upsize the transformer.

     

It simply cannot be any easier or more accurate to obtain the correct information the first time.
